South Philly Experience in Los Angeles is a must visit for any cheesesteak lover! I tried their cheesesteak with provolone, onions, and sweet peppers, and it blew me away. The bread was perfectly soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the delicious fillings, the steak was tender and flavorful, and the sweet peppers added just the right kick. Easily one of the best cheesesteaks in Los Angeles! While I'd still give a slight edge to Matu in Beverly Hills, South Philly Experience comes incredibly close and has earned a spot on my short list of go-to spots. The only downside is the lack of indoor seating, which can be a bit of a bummer when the weather's cold, but honestly, the food makes up for it. If you're craving an authentic, satisfying cheesesteak, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
Um helloooo yum! Once again we were out and about and checked the list and decided to come here, yelp even had a star on it on the map so we went for it. The Italian sandwich was soooo good and we added banana peppers and pickles. But of course being the cheesesteak place we had to try out the meat so we got the cheesesteak egg rolls to test that out and wowza! Lovely shaved ribeye and the perfect cheese and other dipping sauce just wow lovely. This is definitely much more than a cheesesteak spot. I can't believe I missed the cream soda treat on the menu will definitely be back to try that and so much more!! Gabby at the front is awesome too. Great work guys. :)
Had to pull up and show some East Coast love! Crazy to learn from Gabby that they've been there for years and I'm just finding them. Had a tough decision to make on which sandwich I wanted to be my first try, but I settled on the very good vodka sauce chicken parm. I can't get many decent chicken parm sandwiches out here in LA. But for a few minutes while enjoying it, I felt like I was back in New York! Definitely recommend for a good sandwich. I'll definitely be back soon, this time with my wife and kids. Good and friendly customer service as well, can't leave that out. Good customer service always brings me back.
Tried to be adventurous one day and Doordashed from South Philly Experience. The Rib-eye cheesesteak was so juicy, delicious and flavorful. The amount of meat they put in the sandwiches were generous. We also tried the whiz fries and it was really good. I didn't enjoy the fried raviolis with spicy vodka sauce on the side as much though - it lacked flavor and the outside coating is a little overpowering to my liking. But I will definitely be back for their cheesesteaks!
A piece of Philly in LA. South Philly Experience is definitely the best cheesesteak you're gonna get in Cali...period. My go to has been the cheesesteak with provolone. Very classic yet delish. Full of meat and soft bread. I love it! Service is friendly. I'm definitely rooting for this mom and pop spot. I love their story from starting from a food truck to now a brick and mortar store.
Was recommended this place by a family member. Ordered the Roast pork sandwich ! Delicious
This was our go to place if my husband and I were craving philly cheesesteak and I would get the philly cheesesteak fries!!! Service was exceptional whether it's a phone order or in person!
OMG!! When I say THIS PLACE IS DELISH!! I said what I said!! To bite into the fluffy bread, with juicy steak and melted cheese. Mmm mmm good!! & the fried ravioli with the vodka sauce, was finger picking good and the strawberry cream drink was the best choice I could've chosen to wash it all down. I will definitely return to order my next choice on the menu.
This is such a hidden gem in Mid-City that I can't believe more people aren't talking about! The interior of the shop is fairly small and does not have any seating, but there are a few tables outside to enjoy your meal while it's still hot. They have a huge menu of items, most notably their massive sandwiches and fun signature drinks. I got the vodka chicken cutlet sandwich, which involved a fluffy hoagie roll, crispy fried chicken, and a delicious smoky vodka sauce. The employee at the counter was very friendly, and brought our food out in less than 10 minutes which was impressive! Street parking is fairly easy with some metered spots out front and nearby neighborhood streets.
Considering we live in the valley, I wanted to hate this place and be able to say not worth the hype... and it is. It was worth the hour drive in LA traffic. It was worth the aggravation to get here because omg this was the best cheesesteak I've ever had. The girl at the counter was so sweet, the homemade sodas were such a treat, the cheesesteak was something I'll be craving and no other cheesecake will do and the fried raviolis were amazing! Crispy, not greasy and filled with ricotta. The cheesesteaks are HUGE and stuffed with meat and cheese. (I recommend adding extra cheese but that's just me) One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
